Porter Airlines, founded in 2006, is a Canadian airline. Its headquarters are located in Toronto, Ontario. With as many as 29 aircraft in its fleet, the airline serves a total of 23 destinations (in U.S.A. and Canada). Travelers can make Porter Airlines reservations for cities like Montreal, Ottawa, Chicago and Boston. Porter Airlines’ hub is Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Its focus cities include Thunder Bay International Airport, Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport and Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The air carrier provides a frequent flyer program for its loyal customers by the name of VIPorter.
Baggage Policy
Passengers aboard Porter Airlines flights, with Standard Fare, Flexible Fare and Freedom Fare, are allowed to carry one piece of carry-on baggage along with one personal item. Passengers with Basic Fare are allowed to carry only a personal item and no carry-on baggage. The dimensions of the carry-on baggage cannot be more than 16 x 9 x 22 inches. Its weight cannot exceed 20 lb. The dimensions of the personal item cannot be more than 17 x 6 x 13 inches. Its weight cannot exceed 20 lb.
Passengers would need to pay a baggage fee for each piece of checked baggage they take along with them on the flight. However, passengers with Freedom Fare are allowed to take along two pieces of checked baggage free of charge. The linear dimension of each of the baggage cannot exceed 62 inches. Its weight cannot be more than 50 lb.
