South African Airways, founded in 1934, is the flag carrier of South Africa. Its headquarters are located in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. Baggage Policy
Business Class passengers with South African Airways flight tickets are allowed to carry two pieces of carry-on baggage, while Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry only one piece of carry-on baggage. The weight of each of the baggage cannot exceed 18 lb. The dimensions of each piece of baggage cannot be more than 22 x 14 x 9 inches. In addition to this, all passengers are allowed to carry one personal item with them as carry-on baggage.
Business Class passengers are allowed to take along two pieces of checked baggage. Economy Class passengers are allowed to take along one piece of checked baggage. For Business Class, the maximum weight limit per bag is 70 lb. For Economy Class, the maximum weight limit is 51 lb. The linear dimension of each of the baggage cannot exceed 62 inches.
